Fedora is an RPM-based Linux distribution, developed by the community-supported Fedora Project and sponsored by Red Hat. Fedora in currently installed on all the desktop cluster (cl1 to cl15) at the IfM.

End of Life

End of Life (EOL) of Fedora distribution:

  • For those who don’t know, the lifecycle for each release is ~13 months or 1 month after release F+2(”F” stands for any Fedora/Core release). Therefore the EOL of FC6 will be on December 7,2007 and June 30,2008 for Fedora 7.
