Short Column

Problem Definition

The Short column function models a short column with uncertain material properties which is subject to uncertain loads, and is defined as

The parameters b (width of the cross-section, in mm) and h (depth of the cross-section, in mm) have nominal values b = 5 and h = 15.

Input Data

There is a correlation coefficient of 0.5 between M and P. All other input variables are uncorrelated

Aim of the Tutorial

The aim of the tutorial is to show how to perform different analysis type by means of the graphical user interface of COSSAN-X.
