Needs of an innovative software

The quantification of uncertainties and risks is a key requirement and challenge across various disciplines. Perform stochastic analyses using the same software and tools used for the deterministic design in order to reduce the learning curve considering explicitly the effects of uncertainties.

Advanced Algorithm and HPC

The most advanced and recent algorithms coupled with the parallel computing features for the rational quantification and propagation of uncertainties allows to reduce the computational cost for the stochastic analysis.

OpenCossan logo

OpenCossan represents the computational core of the COSSAN project. It is an Open and free toolbox for Uncertainty Quantification and Managment and contains a collection of open source algorithms, methods and tools under continuous development at the Institute for Risk and Uncertainty, University of Liverpool, UK.

Open Source

A fully free toolbox released under the terms of the GNU Lesser General Public License.

Collaborative development

The OpenCOSSAN Engine is developed by a large number of researchers from all over the world. You can download the engine, check the code, implement new features and propose patches and modifications. We really value your feedback!
